Details:  April 22nd — 7:00 PM

Location

Multi-Purpose Room

San Jose, CA 95118

Message from Councilwoman Foley:

I was horrified when I first learned about the heinous murder of Bambi Larson and the facts surrounding her case. I share your pain, anger, and fear regarding this tragedy. I am outraged and deeply saddened for everyone that had the honor of knowing Bambi Larson. Violent offenders should not be allowed to walk among us.

I fully support the Police Chief’s efforts to advocate for retaining violent criminals in our jail and will demand that changes are made at the County.

In response to your concerns, we will be hosting a public safety meeting for the District 9 community. Initially we had scheduled this meeting to take place much earlier, but our intention is to reach as many residents impacted by this tragedy as possible. This new date allows us to both avoid San Jose Unified School District’s spring break and it allows us to observe Holy Week.

The meeting will take place on April 22nd, at 7:00 pm at John Muir Middle School. Mayor Sam Liccardo and Police Chief Eddie Garcia will join us for the meeting along with County Supervisor Mike Wasserman(invited). We will provide an update on the details surrounding the arrest of Bambi’s murderer, information about our current laws, how we can advocate for change in policy and let you know what we can all do to protect our ourselves and our loved ones.

Please join us for this very important community meeting.
