Who’s Really in Charge of Your Kid’s Education?
Can we control what our kids are being taught?
In the past couple years, COVID has completely changed public education and, opportunistically, brought on a deceitful fight for “social justice” and “equity”.
A father of 5, Lance Christensen decided to run for California Superintendent of Public Education in 2022. His goal was to speak for parents whose children were shut out of in-person instruction for TWO YEARS when teachers’ unions refused to go back to the classrooms.
Christensen believes we should take politics out of the classroom, where he says teachers too often indoctrinate students with radical ideologies. He wants to put students first; for too long, the desires of teachers’ unions have superseded the needs of students. Christensen also wants to make it easier to fire bad teachers.
But most importantly, he believes parents need to be back in the education equation. They’ve had little say in vaccine, masking and school reopening protocols, curriculum, and he wants to fix that.
Alas, the problem is how to gain control from the unions. He ran against incumbent Tony Thurmond. Riddled with scandals and rarely at work, incumbent Thurmond failed to win a clear majority in the June primary, signaling a problem with his policies, but he had the full backing of the Democratic machine and 60% of his massive funding came from unions. But Lance believes he’s found a way of wresting control from these self-serving unionists.
Join us on March 22nd to hear the latest education scandals rocking our state and to see how we can get back in the driver’s seat.
